Professor and Chairman
Welcome to the Department of Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medical College. Our Department has a long and distinguished tradition of leadership in pediatric care, education, and research.
Located on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, the Department of Pediatrics is affiliated with the NewYork-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children's Health, a full-service, multi-disciplinary "children's hospital within a hospital" at Weill Cornell Medical Center.
We are enjoying a busy summer in the Department with the arrival of new faculty and staff, several community outreach events, and continued renovations of our facilities. Our new interns arrived in June and hail from 11 states and abroad, from Louisiana to Qatar, and we are pleased to expand our healthcare team with the addition of new faculty in the Divisions of General Academic Pediatrics, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Pediatric Endocrinology, Newborn Medicine, Pediatric Nephrology, Pediatric Cardiology and Child Neurology.
Our community outreach efforts continue to be exciting and fulfilling. Earlier this year, the Komansky Center hosted a popular table at the WCBS Radio Expo community event at Citi Field and we are planning to attend this year's Third Avenue Street Fair in September. We have also participated in the Weill Cornell Youth Scholars program and the Bridge to College program's Middle School Early College Awareness career camp.
Finally, we are continuing to improve our facilities with the construction of a pediatric simulation lab and renovations of our research space.
We are committed to maintaining the quality of care for our patients and their families at the highest level while offering an unparalleled educational experience for our students, residents, and fellows.
I invite you to learn more about our services and programs. Please let us know how we can assist you,
Nancy C. Paduano Professor and Chairman
