Ira Sohn Conference Pediatric Radiology Welcome Center dedicated

The Department of Pediatrics celebrates the dedication of the Ira Sohn Conference Pediatric Radiology Welcome Center. Faculty and staff joined Pediatrics Department Chairman and Pediatrician-in-Chief Dr. Gerald Loughlin, Dr. Herbert Pardes and members of the Sohn family for the unveiling of a commemorative plaque honoring the contribution of the Foundation.

The newly renovated Welcome Center provides patients and their families with a relaxing room to wait in the Pediatric Radiology department and is a central information resource during their visit. The room also features a wall-length mural of New York City's Hayden Planetarium/Rose Center for Earth and Space by artist Jim Kimak and a three-dimensional light sculpture in the ceiling depicting the night sky.

The Ira Sohn Conference Research Foundation is dedicated to the treatment and cure of pediatric cancer and other childhood diseases.
