L. Gary Steinberg, MD joins Division of Pediatric Cardiovascular Services at Komansky Center

Please join us in welcoming L. Gary Steinberg, MD to the Department of Pediatrics family in his role as Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics. With an interest in general cardiology, echocardiography and non-invasive exercise stress testing, Dr. Steinberg joins our faculty with a wealth of expertise and experience.

Dr. Steinberg completed his General Pediatrics Residency at Elmhurst Hospital from 1988-1992, where he also served as chief resident. He then pursued a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, and later returned to Elmhurst and Queens Hospitals, where he served as Director of Pediatric Cardiology for four years.

Since 2002, Dr. Steinberg has been the Director of Pediatric Cardiology at Brooklyn Hospital and a regular collaborator with the Division of Pediatric Cardiovascular Services at the Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children's Health at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Dr. Steinberg has been the recipient of several teaching awards from the General Pediatrics residents at Brooklyn, and is a particular favorite among the medical students and housestaff alike.

As part of our continuing outreach efforts in Pediatric Cardiology at Weill Cornell, Dr. Steinberg will maintain office hours in Brooklyn several times a month.
